چکیده

This paper presents a novel single-phase grid-tied neutral-point-clamped (NPC) five-level converter (SPFLC). Unlike the literature on NPC topologies, proposed one is capable of inherently balancing voltage DC-link split capacitors. For this purpose, simple Multicarrier Phase Disposition (MPD) Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique used, thus avoiding both complex modifications to Space Vector (SVM) and offset injections into carrier based (CB) PWM, as commonly done in most conventional algorithms. Bearing mind that strategy only requires measuring capacitors’ voltages sign output current, it has very low complexity. The developed not straightforwardly implemented but also effective for obtaining symmetrical undistorted levels from multilevel converter, well significantly improving power quality SPFLC and, turn, grid current. simulation results obtained with MATLAB-SimPowerSystems experimental prototype built laboratory validate topology strategy, by showing good performance under step-changes exhaustive operating test conditions.

A Novel Control Strategy for a Single-phase Grid-connected Power Injection System

In this paper, a novel and simple control strategy, based on state feedback method is suggested to control the power injection system (PIS). The considered PIS is composed of, a DC voltage source, a voltage source inverter (VSI) and a L-C-L filter. The DC source includes the battery source with boosted voltage. The battery can be charged with photovoltaic cells. Since, the grid voltage acts as ...

Five Level Dc-dc Converter with Asymmetrical Control Strategy for High Power Applications

In this paper an asymmetrical duty cycle control strategy was proposed to the TPTL dc/dc converter. The modified converter remains all the advantages of original control strategy; meanwhile, soft-switching can be achieved using the energy stored in output filter inductance and leakage inductances of transformers (or resonant inductances).Three-phase three-level (TPTL) dc/dc converter has the ad...

A Varied VSVM Strategy for Balancing the Neutral-Point Voltage of DC-Link Capacitors in Three-Level NPC Converters

In the research field of multilevel converters, three-level NPC (neutral-point-clamped) converters, which unfortunately may cause the deviation of the neutral-point voltage of DC-link capacitors, are widely discussed. Theoretically, virtual space vector modulation (VSVM) could guarantee the balance control of the neutral-point voltage. However, there still exist some uncontrollable space vector...
